Heat Exchangers

In homes and other structures whose roofs limit the installation of solar water heaters above the collectors, as required from an architectural or aesthetic standpoint, Nimrod installs a forced system based on a tank equipped with a heat exchanger. Forced systems are used for institutions and organizations whose roof has a large number of collectors and whose tanks are installed in a separate location.

In forced solar water heating systems, the tank is equipped with a heat exchanger, and a system of pipes and a pump are installed between the tank and the collectors. The pump forces the hot water from the collectors to flow to the tank in a closed-circuit system. The water in the tank heats up and cold water is forced to flow from the tank so that it can be heated by the collectors.
